Immunizations
Students must have up-to-date immunizations to start each school year. State law requires that medically validated up-to-date records be on file for all students. Parents should plan to have up-to-date immunizations for their child and submit documentation to the school nurse's office prior to the start of the school year. Official documentation of exemptions for either medical reasons or reasons of conscience, including religious beliefs, must be submitted to the school nurse's office prior to the start of school. A minimum of two weeks should be allowed in order to obtain an affidavit for exemptions for reasons of conscience from theTexas Department of State Health Services.
