Texas Certification
Bandera ISD searches for the most qualified, fully credentialed candidates for principals' consideration in filling teacher vacancies. The following candidates will be given preference in the screening and selection process for employment: full Texas state certification at the time of employment.

Alternative Certification Programs
In identified "critical needs" areas, principals may give consideration to candidates admitted to Alternative Certification Programs (ACP's) which have official approval and sanction by the Texas Education Agency. The District considers ACP teacher candidates which have taken and passed the Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities exam and the content area TExES certification exam.
