Cybersecurity Reporting & Tips

To report a Cybersecurity issue or concern, please contact the BISD Technology Department.

 

• Never connect to public networks (such as a coffee shop)
• Protect your password at all times
• Ensure that your password is complex (no birthdays, children's names, erc.)
• Do not allow another person to use your device
• When traveling, lock your school device in your trunk
• Beware of phishing scams
• Do not release school information based on an email request, always verify the source
• Report suspicious emails to the Technology Services Department
• Ensure personal devices accessing the BISD network have up-to-date antivirus software
• Always lock your computer when not in use (Flag + L for Microsoft, Magnifying Glass + L for Chrome)
