Letter from the Superintendent 9.9.26

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain a top priority in Bandera ISD.

This afternoon, Bandera ISD was notified by the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office of a possible threat in the Lakehills area. At this time, the reported threat is not directed toward Bandera ISD, any BISD campus, students, or staff.

Out of an abundance of caution, BISD Administration is staying in close communication with BCSO and will continue to monitor the situation and any updates as they are received.

We want to reassure our families that we take any potential safety concern in our community seriously. Should additional information become available that impacts Bandera ISD or requires any change to our normal operations, we will communicate that information with our families as quickly as possible.

We encourage our families and community members to rely on information from the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office and official Bandera ISD communication channels and to avoid sharing unverified information or rumors.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and continued partnership in keeping our students and staff safe.

Sincerely,

Bandera ISD Administration
