Why does FIVE matter so much in Bandera ISD?
With our four-day school week, students attend 153 days each year instead of the traditional 180. That means every school day carries a little more weight. Just 5 absences adds up to more than a full week of learning in our school calendar.
And just to be clear — we’re counting from the first day of school in August, not starting today! September is simply when we’re kicking off the conversation.
September is National Attendance Awareness Month, making it the perfect time to remind everyone how much showing up matters.
