Congratulations, Mr. LaLanne!

We are proud to announce the promotion of Mr. Robert “Bobby” LaLanne to the new leadership role as Bandera ISD’s Academic Dean of PTECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) beginning with the 2025–26 school year.

Mr. LaLanne has served as the Principal of Bandera Middle School since 2023, where he brought passion, innovation, and a deep commitment to student success. A proud graduate of Bandera ISD, Mr. LaLanne has served the district in numerous capacities—first as a student, then as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal—demonstrating his unwavering dedication to the community.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Texas State University and a Master's Degree from Lamar University. His collaborative leadership style and strong relationships with students, staff, and families have helped shape a positive and forward-thinking culture at BMS.

In his new role as Academic Dean of PTECH, , Mr. LaLanne will lead efforts to expand pathways that prepare our students for college and career readiness through rigorous academics and hands-on, real-world experiences. Superintendent Bitzkie shared, “Bobby is a true Bulldog through and through. His vision and commitment to excellence make him the ideal person to launch and grow our P-TECH initiatives. We are thrilled to see him take on this district-level leadership role.”
