How is TIA scored at BISD?

BISD's Local TIA Designation System (LoTDS)

Bandera ISD's Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) system is designed to identify and reward highly effective teachers through a combination of classroom instruction and student growth measures. Every eligible teacher is evaluated using the same two components.

40% T-TESS + 60% STUDENT GROWTH = YOUR TIA SCORE!

The goal of Bandera ISD's TIA System is to recognize educators who demonstrate strong instructional practices and consistently help students grow academically.
OVERALL TIA SCORE

Every eligible teacher is evaluated using the same two components. Your final TIA score is calculated by 40% Teacher Observation (T-TESS) and 60% Student Growth.

**The weighted score determines whether a teacher qualifies for an ACKNOWLEDGED, RECOGNIZED, EXEMPLARY or MASTER designation.**
