My name is Robyn Langston and I am pleased to be the campus counselor for Hill Country Elementary School.  I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and my masters degree from Schriener University.  I have been a member of Bandera ISD for 20 years.  I have had the privilege of opening this campus in 1995.  I live in Pipe Creek with my husband and I have two recent graduates of Bandera.  My daughter is married and lives in Hawaii with her husband and daughter.  She followed in my footsteps and became a teacher, graduating from Texas A&M Corpus Christi and my son will be attending Medical School upon his graduation from Texas A&M this December.  He plans to be a doctor.
As a school counselor, I provide curriculum and plan with our Social Skills Teacher to implement Character Education through Specials Rotations as well as support our students when needed through academic or behavioral assessments and guidance.  I am also the campus STAAR/Telpas, ESL, Section 504 and At-Risk Coordinator.  I am also involved in RTI and parent conferences and any supports as needed.
The main guidance themes for this year are College and Career Readiness as well as bully prevention.  Our monthly themes are as follows:
    September - Back to School
October - Drug & Bully Prevention
    November - Thankfulness
    December - College Awareness
    January - Graduation Pathways
February - Random Acts of Kindness
