Grade Football Takes Two from Devine
Bandera, Texas

The Bandera 7th
grade B team defeated the Colts from Devine by a score
of 16-0. This victory over the Colts brings the Dogs
record to 5-0. One of the scoring drives were capped off
by Fullback Travis Lema and the second came on a reverse
to Chance Lopez. Both PAT’s were added by John Derry.
The defense again held strong not allowing the Colts to
score. The Dog defense was led by Linebacker Chance
Lopez, lineman Chris Smith and Shane Reynolds and
secondary play by Kasey Pedraza.
The Bandera 7th
grade A team shut out the Colts from Devine by a score
of 22-0. This victory was the third shutout in a row.
The Dogs scored on the opening drive when Fullback
Landon Ventura scored on a 37 yard run. The Bulldog line
consisting of Center, Alex Gonzales, Guards, Kyle Wilson
and Nick Andres, Tackles, Sterling Gardner and Chase
Haddad allowed the Bulldogs to more the ball down the
field. The Tight End spot this week was shared by
Quarterback Noah Nelson and running back Luke Williams.
Great blocking allowed the Bulldog offense to score on
2 more series when Quarterback Ty Neff scored from the
one and when Neff received a pass from Quarterback Noah
Nelson and then pitched the ball to running back Landon
Ventura. The PAT’s were added by running back Averie
Mansfield and receiver Kyle Bauml. Defensive stands out
were Brady Keene and Calvin Bankston in the secondary
and Ty Fernandez on the defensive line. Next week the
Bulldogs will play at home against Comfort.
