Grade Football vs. Wimberley
Bandera, Texas

The Bandera
Bulldog 7th grade B team defeated the Texans
from Wimberley by a score of 22-0. The first touchdown
came on a run by Alex Willoughby-Gonzales for 36 yards.
The PAT was added by Chance Lopez, and the Dogs were up
by 8. The Bulldog running game remained strong behind
the blocking of John Derry, playing halfback and linemen
Colten Gisler, Thomas Marshall, and Justin Fuller.
Willoughby-Gonzales was able to get in the end zone 2
more times and one more PAT was added by Lopez. Next
week the Dogs travel to Carrizo Springs. The Bandera
Bulldog 7th A team defeated the Wimberley
Texans by a score of 12-6. The first score of the game
came on a trap up the middle by running back Luke
Williams good for 51 yards, the PAT failed but the
Bulldogs were ahead by a score of 6-0. The Bulldog
running game was strong behind the line of Alex Gonzales
at center, Kyle Wilson and Nick Andreas at guards, and
Sterling Gardner and Chase Haddad as Tackles. The Texans
were able to score but the Bulldogs stopped the point
after touchdown try and the score was tied at 6. The
Bulldog passing game led by Quarterback Ty Neff was able
to move the ball down inside the 20 as time was running
out, but a lost fumble gave the ball back to the Texans
with twenty seconds remaining in the game. On their
first play they dropped back to pass when linebacker
Averie Mansfield hit the quarterback as he released the
ball causing it to go straight to linebacker Landon
Ventura who was able to return the interception for a
touch down and the Dogs go up by 6. The PAT was again
stopped by the Texans but the Dogs held on for the win.
