Three Students Advance to All Region Band
Bandera, Texas

Several members of the
Bandera High School Band participated in tryouts for the
“All Region” and “All Area” band. At the “All Region”
tryouts, three students placed high enough to advance to
the all area tryouts.
Making the “All Region”
band were:

Kathy Bowles, flute

Sebastian Escobar,
french horn

Joshua Villarreal,
bass clarinet

John Guerra, alto
clarinet

Patricia Cornwell,
bassoon

Anthony Mireles,
trumpet.
At the regional level, the
following students were named to the “All Area” band:

All of the students played
at the All Region Concert last Saturday in
Fredericksburg. The conductors were Daniel Solis for the
Concert Band and Rocky Harris for the Symphonic band.
The Symphonic band played a number that was commissioned
by Association of Texas Small School Bands for this
concert. "All of these students made their parents,
their school, and their community very proud with their
talent and the way they conducted themselves, stated
band director Tim Howell.
