What is the district’s official notification date?

• As a TEA selected summer district, notification date will be May 19^th.

How long does the district have to upload our district information?

• 10 days.

When does the 80-day clock begin?

• As soon as the district completes the electronic upload of employee information. FYI: RSCCC employee data does not match TEA/SBEC, therefore, all information for all employees, including approximately 114 substitutes must be retyped into TEA spreadsheet.

How will I be notified?

• District employees will receive an email within 24 hours of the district upload.

When is the district hosting a fingerprinting site?

• Our assigned date is July 1-9. BISD did NOT get to select this date.

Will the fingerprinting be available for July 4^th?

• No, it will be considered an ‘official holiday.’

Do I have to pay?

• No.

What if I cannot come to the district-fingerprinting site?

• You will need to schedule through Marie, fingerprinting@banderaisd.net for a separate site with your FAST PASS.

Will I have to pay if I go to a separate site?

• No, the cost will be covered, but the scheduling could take about three weeks for them to get you into an assigned date/time.

Will I need a time for the BISD site?

• No, we are going to have a first come basis.

Where will the BISD site be located?

• Central Office

Can I start my August contract if I have not completed my fingerprinting?

• According to SB 1, an employee cannot work for the school district until fingerprinting is completed after notification and for new hires after Jan. 1, 2008.
