  • Superintendent's Message for November
BISD is Thankful for Our Volunteers

A very important part of the Bandera ISD education team is our volunteers. It takes an exceptional person to give his or her time and energy to help make our school district stronger. All of our Bandera campuses have parent/teacher organizations that support students and staff endeavors. Many benefits of these groups such as our parent teacher organizations are when these volunteers serve in the classroom and throughout the school system.  School volunteers provide assistance to students, help staff better meet the needs of students and develop closer ties between the school and community.  Positive role models for students are a wonderful benefit. Assisting student to achieve has a wonderful return. When someone can share their knowledge and talents, students have an opportunity to see outside the classroom the value of a school education.

Many of our parents work through our campus parent teacher organizations to volunteer their time outside of the classroom. With busy work schedules and their personal student activities, these parents work as volunteers on many outside of school projects. Their time is valuable and it adds pride and confidence to each of our campus school programs.

Bandera ISD values and appreciates the commitment of these individuals to Bandera ISD.
