Bus Drivers Get Kudos at Celebratory Breakfast
Bandera, Texas
● October 28, 2009
The Bandera ISD
Transportation Department received a little surprise
during National School Bus Safety Week. To honor and
thank them for their hard work, the us drivers and
support folks had a hot breakfast waiting for them as
they returned from their morning routes. Superintendent
Dr. Kevin Dyes spoke briefly at the ceremony telling the
drivers how important their role in our district is.
“The majority of our students rely on you to bring them
to school safely each and every day” stated Dyes. “We
would not enjoy the success we have if it wasn’t for
you”. Once the breakfast was over, Transportation
Director Kay Miller served up a special sheet cake that
said “Thank You for Transporting Our Future”. At Bandera
ISD, 32 regular bus routes travel almost 1,300 miles
every day transporting over 1,400 students.
