KENS-5 TV to Host Tailgate Party at Bandera High School
Bandera, Texas
● October 9, 2009
Bandera High School has
been selected for the “Game of the Week” on Friday,
October 16th by KENS-5 TV. KENS-5 will host a
Friday Night Tailgate Party from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM
the day of the game vs. the Devine Warhorses at Bulldog
Stadium.
Thanks to
KENS-5 and their sponsors (Mission Foods, Johnsonville
Sausage, and Frito-Lay) the Bandera Music Boosters will
receive all proceeds from the pre-sold plates during the
tailgate party. The Bandera Music Boosters will be
selling a sausage wrap, bag of chips, and a drink for
$5.00 per plate. Pre-sale tickets will be available at
Bandera High School and the Bandera ISD Central Office.
The money raised through this promotion will help fund
students who participate in Band, Choir, and Star
Steppers travel to out of district field trips. The
Music Boosters goal is to pre-sell 500 plates.
“This is a
great opportunity for Bandera High School to shine on
television” stated principal Gary Bitzkie. “Everyone
will get to see what great kids and school spirit our
campus has”.
Two live news
segments with KENS-5 sports guy
Joe Reinagel
will be broadcast during
the pre-game party. One during the 5:00 PM newscast and
one during the 6:00 PMN newscast. Students from the BHS
Band, Choir, Star Steppers, and Cheerleaders will be
featured during the broadcasts. Coach Larry Prince will
be interviewed during the 6:00 hour.
