Grade Football vs. Crystal City
Bandera, Texas
● October 5, 2009
Having missed
lasts weeks game because of rain, the Bulldogs came out
ready to play. The Bulldogs were able to put 52 points
on the scoreboard and not allow Crystal City to score.
The Bulldog offensive line, Center, Alex Gonzales,
Guards, Nick Adreas and Kyle Wilson, Tackles, Sterling
Gardner and Chase Haddad, Tight End, Dalton Davis
allowed the backs to run their offense to perfection.
The running backs and receivers were able to move the
ball down the field and score 5 touchdowns. The offense
was led by Quarterbacks, Ty Neff and Noah Nelson, and
the backfield was led by Averie Mansfield, Luke Williams
and Landon Ventura. The receivers of the Bulldogs were
led by Calvin Bankston, Kyle Bauml, and Wyatt Lucas. The
offense was able to score 5 touchdowns and add another
10 points on the Point After Touchdown conversions. The
Bandera Defense was not to be denied the goal-line as
they scored on an interception by Safety Noah Nelson and
a fumble recovery by Neal McLean. Other defensive
standouts were Brady Keane and Joe Rodriquiz. The
Bulldogs now have a record of 3 wins and 0 loses.
The 7th
grade Bandera B team defeated Crystal City by a score of
8-0 in a shortened game on Thursday night. Crystal City
had a limited number of players so the game was only a
running clock of 12 minutes. However the Bulldogs were
able to score on a run by Alex Willoughby-Gonzales and
the P.A.T. was added by John Derry.
