BANDERA BOYS TAKE DISTRICT 25-3A TRACK TITLE

The Bandera
Boys Varsity Track Team traveled to Wimberley to
participate in the District 25-3A Track and Field Meet
held Saturday and Monday April 5th and 7th
where they captured the District Title.
The team
finished the day Saturday with 44 points and in 3rd
place behind Ingram with 54.5 points and Llano with 84.5
points, Wimberley was in 4th with 34 points.
Knowing that you are behind by 40 points going into the
running events could be difficult for some teams to
handle, this was not the case for the Bulldogs. The boys
went into the final day with the attitude that they
would win the meet. Seven events were complete and
there were ten to go.
The Dogs won
the first four events of the day and set the tone for
the evening. They finished the day winning eight of the
ten events and finishing second in the other two. It
was a great team effort with 95% of the team making the
finals, 90% scoring points, and 80% of the team
qualifying for the Regional Meet.
