TABE TESTING INFORMATION FOR POTENTIAL BISD EMPLOYEES

Employment for
para-professionals (teacher aides) at Bandera ISD
schools now requires that the applicant have a minimum
of 48 college hours or pass an approved exam. Bandera
ISD offers potential candidates the opportunity to take
the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) exam on a
regular basis. The test, which is a requirement of
federal and state law, is divided into several sections:
Math Computation, Math Application, Spelling, Reading,
Language Arts, and Writing. The tests which may require
up to six hours to finish, is completed electronically
with the exception of writing. If you are interested in
