7^TH AND 8TH GRADE LADY BULLDOGS DISTRICT TRACK CHAMPS

Bandera, Texas ● April 11, 2008

            The 7^th Grade Lady Bulldogs captured the district title with 262.5 points. In the seventh grade division at least two or more of our competitors placed in each event to contribute towards the district championship. In the pole vault Sara Herrera and Alix Hay tied for 5th place, while Jordan Hays placed 4^th, and Montana Hicks earned a 2nd place with the height of 6’0”.  In the long jump Harlee Ritchie placed 4^th, while Shelby Lester placed 2nd, and Analisa Gonzales won 1st with a 13’0”jump.  In the triple jump Analisa Gonzales placed 5^th, while Madelynn Kinsel placed 2nd behind her teammates with a jump of 30’71/2, and Alexis Clements was 2nd with a jump of 4’2”.  In the shot put McKenna Osman placed 4^th, Lauren Ramsey 2^nd, and Ashley Baker 1^st with a throw of 29’6”.  In the discus Lauren Ramsey placed 6^th while Ashley Backer won with a throw of 64’4”.  On the running side Maria Balderas placed 5^th in the 3200,McKenna Mangold placed 2^nd, and Sara Herrera won the gold with a time of 13:11.60.  In the 4X100 Relay, our Bandera Blue team placed 5^th (Chacon, Jahnson, sanders, zook) and our 7th grade Bandera team placed 2^nd with a photo finish (Flaherty, Ritchie, Fitzpatrick, Gonzales). In the 800 meter run Tristyn Donovan placed 4^th, Sara Herrera 3^rd, and Alexis Clements with a 1^st place in 2:38:44.  In the 100 meter hurdles Montana Hicks placed 4^th, Harlee Ritchie 3^rd, and Jordan Hays won with an 18.55.  In the 100 meter dash Marley Flaherty placed 3^rd and Renessa Sanders placed 2nd with a 14.11.  In the 400 meter dash Jordan Carvajal Placed 6^th, and Madelynn Kinsel took home the silver with 1:08.60.  In the 4X200 meter Relay the Bandera Blue team placed 5^th (Chacon, Sanders, Elizondo, Zook) and the Bandera 7^th grade team placed 2nd in a 2:03.71(Hayes ,Gonzales, Flaherty, Fitzpatrick).  In the 300 meter hurdles Devin Dews placed 3^rd and Alexis Clements placed 1^st with a time of 52.36.  In the 200 meter dash Jordan Hayes placed 6^th, Analisa Gonzales 4^th, and Kati Fitzpatrick won the silver with a 29.52.  In the 1600 meter run Tristyn Donovan placed 3^rd, and McKenna Mangold came away with the gold in a time of 6:08.14.  In the 4X400 relay the Lady Dogs won the gold with a time of 4:34.61 (Herrera, Clements, Mangold, Kinsel).

            The 8^th grade Lady Bulldogs also captured the district championship with 247 points beating the next team by 89 points.  In the pole vault Jennifer Widner tied for 1^st with the height of 6’0”.  In the Long Jump we had a sweep of 3^rd place for Kilee Morris, Amber Neal 2^nd, and Rozlyn Reeves 1^st with a jump of 14’04”.  In the Triple Jump Brittany Horvath placed 5^th, and Georgia Folds was 3^rd with a jump of 28’11”.  In the high jump Amber Neal placed 5^th and Brittany Horvath brought home the silver with a jump of 4’6”.  In the Shot Put Jordan Salazar placed 2^nd with a throw of 34’8”.  In the Discus Zeanna Rivera placed 2^nd and Jordan Salazar earned a gold medal with the throw of 86’2”.  In the 3200 meter run Elizabeth Elizondo placed 4^th, while Brandi Robinson placed 2^nd and Alexis Torres won with a time of 13:06.  In the 4X100 Relay the Lady Bulldogs placed 2^nd with a photo finish for first (Romane, Morris, Polk, Reeves).  In the 800 meter run we took the top two places with Jenna Dobson placing 2^nd and Alexis Torres winning the gold with a time of 2:47.33.  In the 100 meter hurdles Cady Wenzel placed 5^th, while Alexa Vosburgh received 4^th.  Rozlyn Reeves still earned a silver, even after falling and having to catch back up.  In the 100 meter dash Kilee Morris placed 6^th, while Jenny Romane placed 1^st with a time of 13.68.  In the 400 meter dash Brynn Hicks placed 6^th for the dogs, while Cady Wenzel placed 3^rd, and Marley Pinkham placed 2^nd with a time of 1:11.20.  In the 300 meter hurdles Cady Wenzel placed 4^th, and Rozlyn Reeves was 1^st with a 53.56.  In the 200 meter dash Amber Neal placed 4^th and Georgia Folds was 2^nd with a time of 29.96.  In the 1600 meter run Jenna Dobson placed 5^th, while Elizabeth Elizondo was 2^nd, and Brandi Robinson was 1^st with a time of 5:57.19.  Finishing up with 4X400 Relay the Lady Bulldogs placed 2^nd (Pinkham, Torres, Neal, Elizondo).
