BANDERA ISD RECEIVES FIVE STATE COMMUNICATION AWARDS

Bandera ISD
has received five state level awards for excellence in
school communications. These awards were presented to
the district at the Texas School Public Relations
Association (TSPRA) Star Awards Celebration held in
Houston last month. Each year TSPRA with more than 900
members, recognizes school communicators for outstanding
work in both print and electronic media. More than 800
entries were received this year from over 135 school
districts, education foundations, associations and
private consultants.
Bandera ISD
received three gold star awards for: Printed Brochure –
Bandera ISD Fast Facts 2006-2007; Event Program – Song
of America, A Salute to Veterans; and Web Site -
www.banderaisd.net. The District received a silver star
award for: Event Program – Puttin’ On The Ritz. The
Bandera ISD Web Site received the award for best web
site in the state for school districts with up to 10,000
students.
TSPRA, based
in Austin, is a professional organization whose members
are dedicated to improving public education in Texas by
promoting effective public relations practices,
providing professional development for its members, and
improving communication between Texans and their public
schools.
