BHS STUDENT SUCCESS VALIDATED ONCE AGAIN
Bandera, Texas ● February 22, 2008
Students
enrolled in Bandera High School’s BCIS II students
recently took the world’s only globally recognized,
standards-based credential for validating desktop
computer skills: Microsoft® Office Specialist
certification. Because Microsoft Office Specialist is
the official Microsoft Office certification for desktop
productivity, it is the premier credential chosen by
individuals seeking to validate their skills and advance
their careers.
With the
globally recognized Microsoft Office certification,
students can prove their skills with ease. Whether they
are looking for the ideal job, trying to advance in
their present career, or pursuing academic goals,
Microsoft Office Specialist gives you the tools to
achieve more, distinguish yourself, and advance in
today’s competitive academic and professional
environments.
Microsoft
Office Specialist certification allows employers to
differentiate and helps job candidates get hired.
Research shows not only do Microsoft Office Specialists
find work faster, they also earn up to 12% more than
individuals who are not certified. The certification
also provides a firm measure that validates Microsoft
Office training and gives credibility and substance to
work skills.
At Bandera
High School students that pass the test are given
Advanced Measures for their degree plan. Many times,
colleges recognize this certification and either wave a
computer class requirement or give actual college hours
for the certification. For more information about
signing up for BCIS II in the 2008-2009 school year,
please contact Mrs. Colleen Lewis or contact a counselor
at the high school.
