Hats Off To Bandera ISD Trustees
Bandera, Texas ● January 22, 2010
January is School Board
Recognition Month! Members of the Bandera ISD Board of
Trustees are a vital link between the community and the
classroom. They bear responsibility for an annual budget
of over $19 million, four campuses, over 2,500 students,
and more than 400 employees. Our staff and students
really put their creative hats on to recognize the
district’s servant leaders during this month’s board
meeting. Bandera High School Culinary Arts and FCCLA
students, led by Ginger Hale and Susan
Neuenschwander, showed off their talents by put
together an outstanding Italian Dinner prior to the
board meeting. Amy Kepp (Bandera Middle School)
orchestrated a unique project for her students that was
a big hit with the school board. Tying in with the theme
“Hats Off To Texas Trustees”, Amy and her students
designed and painted individual cowboy hats customized
for each trustee. As another token of appreciation,
Holly Mydland (Hill Country Elementary) assisted her
students with the creation of oversized thank you cards
filled with drawings and appreciative comments.
