Education Foundation's Baubles and Boots Celebration
by Elizabeth Scott, Bandera ISD Education
Foundation President
Bandera, Texas ● January 11, 2010
As the hustle and
bustle of Christmas becomes a memory, and you take a
deep breath to ponder what the New Year can do for
you, the Bandera ISD Education Foundation just may have
the perfect solution. We promise to only take three
hours from your busy schedule and tempt you with
delicious treats from our “Taste of Bandera” while you
relax in the gorgeous surroundings of the Lodge on San
Julian Creek.
Prepare to be dazzled
by champagne and chances for a diamond, and if Santa
forgot those new boots be naughty no more and toast a
cold long neck for a boot chance. Every January we bring
you a delicious evening full of high spirits so that you
can eat, drink and be merry. Last but certainly not
least, you can bid to your hearts content in a lively
auction and this year we are excited to present to you
great auction items. There is a “His and Hers” this
year; for him a Spring turkey hunt provided by the Elbow
Lake Ranch outside Sonora. Two gobblers and lodging plus
one years free membership at The Bandera Gun Club. And
for her a spa day manicure and pedicure, what could be
better? But, if sitting pretty suits your fancy then bid
on an 11x 14 portrait by Alexandra Collins. Her
portraits are truly breathtaking and will be “treasured
for generations” by your family. And artwork, yes
there’s lots and all original mediums include; etchings,
watercolors, photographs and hand colored linocut.
Tickets are available
for 35.00 per person and are available at the BISD
Central Office, 796-3313 or McMullans Insurance,
796-3725. So mark your calendar for Saturday, January
23rd, 4:30 to 7:30 and we will see you there at The
Lodge on San Julian Creek, 1919 State HWY 173 South. For
further information call Elizabeth Scott, 796-8538.
