BAND MEMBERS PERFORM IN ALL REGION CONCERT

Last
week, members of the Bandera High School Band joined
forces with students from area 1A, 2A, and 3A schools to
perform with the ATSSB Region 11 All Region Band. The
performance took place at South San Antonio High School.
The members of the All Region Band were chosen during
tryouts at schools throughout the UIL Music Region 11.
The members chosen for the Symphonic Region
Band included Yolanda Edwards and Ashley Redwine.
Members chosen for the All Region Concert Band were
Stephanie Biediger, Patricia Cornwell, Anthony Mireles,
Kyle Crenshaw, Thomas Sharpe, Savanah Thayler, and John
Guerra. Alternates for the band were Hannah Chambers and
Austin Word.
Mrs.
Cindy Mikel from Alamo Heights High School directed the
Symphonic band and Rey Meza, State President of Texas
Bandmasters Association, directed the Concert band. Both
conductors were very complimentary of the members of the
bands.
