ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES ANNOUNCED FOR BANDERA ISD

Bandera, Texas ● May 15, 2009

            Kenneth Scott Tipton has been named the new Principal at Alkek Elementary School effective May 26^th. Currently, he serves as Assistant Principal for Bandera Middle School, a position he has held since 2006. Tipton came to Bandera ISD from Bryan ISD’s Stephen F. Austin Middle School in 2005. “I am very happy to assign Mr. Tipton to this new position”, stated Superintendent Dr. Kevin L. Dyes. “His leadership abilities and experience with our district will keep Alkek academically strong”. Mr. Tipton earned both his Bachelors degree and Masters degree from West Texas A&M University.

            Effective with the start of the 2009-2010 school year, C. Joy Ryan will assume the responsibilities of Assistant Principal at Bandera Middle School. She will remain Assistant Principal at Bandera High School for the remainder of this year. Ryan has been an educator for 18 years, and served in the Lampasas Independent School District  before coming to Bandera in 2007. She received both her Bachelors degree and Masters degree from Texas Tech University.
