TAKS Testing this Week for Grades 3 and Up

Bandera ISD students and staff will be focusing their efforts on the state mandated TAKS testing this week. to download the 2008-2009 Assessment Calendar, click here.

Tuesday, March 3:

• Grade 3,5,8, and 9 Reading

• Grade 4 and 7 Writing

• Grade 10 and 11 English Language Arts

• Exit Level English Language Arts (retest)

Wednesday, March 4:

• Exit Level Mathematics (retest)

Thursday, March 5:

• Exit Level Science (retest)

Friday, March 6:

• Exit Level Social Studies (retest)

On Wednesday, March 4th, the Bandera Middle School counselor and teachers will hold a 6th Grade Parent Night to discuss middle school requirements and much more. The following informational items will be discussed: schedules, parent portal, planners, electives and Pre AP courses. The session will begin at 6:30 PM.

On Thursday, March 5th, students currently in the 5th grade at Alkek and Hill Country Elementary School will be bused to BMS for the 6th Grade Student Orientation. Students will be provided with transitional information and a tour of their new school for the 2009-2010 school year.

Award winning art in a variety of medium will be showcased when our talented students are featured at the annual Bandera ISD Art Show. The show will be held this Thursday, March 5th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bandera United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend and see the artistry of BISD students from all campuses.
