Bandera ISD Weather Updates

Because the safety of our students and staff is our top priority, Bandera ISD Administration continually monitors the progress of any potential weather situation. If severe weather conditions occur (heavy rain, icing of highways, etc.) parents should check the following on-line resources:

Parents may also tune their radios to the following area stations: KTSA 550AM, WOAI 1200 AMKRNH 92.3FM, or KFAN 107.9 FM. San Antonio television stations will also be informed of any school emergency closing situation:  KABB Channel 29, KENS Channel 5, KSAT Channel 12, or  WOAI Channel 4. If it becomes necessary to cancel school or postpone the start of school for any reason, these stations will broadcast bulletins as a public service.

In addition, it may become necessary to dismiss school early due to severe weather conditions that occur during the day. In the event of an unscheduled early dismissal, children should know exactly where they are to go if parents are not at home. Bandera ISD encourages parents to formulate an emergency plan with their children to deal with the possibility of unscheduled early dismissals.

PLEASE NOTE: Always remember that if there is no announcement, school is in session and on a normal schedule for the day.
