2009-2010 Survey Results Presented

Bandera ISD Superintendent Dr. Kevin Dyes presented the results of the the 2009-2010 Staff School Survey and the 2009-2010 Parent School Survey during the November 10th Board of Trustees Meeting. Discussion meetings regarding the surveys and the annual AEIS report will be held at all campuses in early December. If you would like to view the results of the surveys, click here.

UIL State Cross Country Championship Tomorrow

Congratulations to Bandera High School Sophomore Alexis Torres who will run in the Class 3A division of the 2009 UIL State Cross Country Championship Meet in Round Rock tomorrow. The meet will be held at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, which is about a mile and a half from Dell Diamond (the parking site for all spectators). The Class 3A girl division race is scheduled to start at 10:50 AM.

Bandera ISD Schools Celebrate Thanksgiving Early

 Thanksgiving will arrive early at Bandera ISD schools and parents and grandparents are encouraged to have a special lunch with their favorite students. The price for an adult lunch is $3.25 which includes sliced turkey, cornbread dressing, sweet potatoes, dinner roll, fruit salad, and iced tea. The luncheons will be served during the normal scheduled times at each campus on the following days:

• Bandera Middle School - Tuesday, November 17

• Bandera High School - Tuesday, November 17

• Hill Country Elementary – Wednesday, November 18

• Alkek Elementary – Thursday, November 19

ATV Safety Session at Hill Country Elementary

An ATV Safety Session for parents and children will be held at Hill Country Elementary School on Monday, November 16 at 6:00 PM. The one hour session is a safety awareness class which is very informative and interesting for both kids and parents. For more information, contact the Hill Country campus at 535-6151.

Four More Opportunities To See Charlotte's Web

There are still four more opportunities to see Bandera High School's production of Charlotte's Web. Performances are scheduled for November 14,19, 20, and 21 with a curtain call of 6:30 PM. Tickets are on sale at the high school theatre box office with prices of $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Football Playoff Game and Pep Rally

The Bandera Bulldogs football team received a bye in Bi-District play this week. They will face the winner of the Ingleside and Zapata game next Friday (11/20) at 7:30 PM. The game will be played at Floresville ISD's Eschenburg Field located at 1000 10th Street in Floresville. A pep rally will be held at Bulldog Stadium on Thursday (11/19) at 6:00 PM.
